About Our Client
Our client is the global leader in public relations, marketing, and Investor Relations.  The company distributes market-moving news and multimedia, host online newsrooms and IR websites, builds content marketing platforms, generates social engagements and provides audience analysis that improves interaction with specified target markets. 
 
As an Account Executive, New Business Development, you will be responsible new accounts business development, while maintaining long term client relationships with established accounts, and representing the company in various capacities. Your position will include new client acquisition and product sales.
 
REQUIRED
Position requires a reliable automobile, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
 
Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate new revenue through new client acquisition and upsell of products and services to existing clients with a defined territory consisting of NYC, state of NY, CT up to Hartford, and Westchester County, Long Island   (Note – you are required to work from client’s mid-town Manhattan office and travel as required with your personal automobile to clients in territory.)
  • Spend a minimum of 50% of time outside of office selling company’s products and services
  • Build a sales pipeline by cultivating prospects, creating new business opportunities and managing/expanding existing customer relationships
  • Create and deliver sales presentations to key decision makers in targeted accounts
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the industry, company’s products and services, and the competitive landscape
  • Participate in professional PR and IR organizations (such as NIRI and PRSA) and events for the promotion of company and its services, sometimes outside of normal business hours
  • Utilize approved social media channels (such as LinkedIn and Twitter) to network with prospects/clients and champion company’s innovative products and services 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years outside sales experience required
  • Experience selling within public relations, marketing, media, investor relations, and/or financial markets preferred
  • Proven success in managing all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, needs analysis, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with clients across an organizational hierarchy, including executive level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills displaying ability to manage multiple tasks with strict attention to detail
  • Salesforce.com proficiency
  • BA/BS degree, or international equivalent, preferred

 Base Salary $60 – 80K DOE   (plus commission)
