Global Brand Director (Marketing)

Jersey City, New Jersey   (basically any East Coast City, WDC  and  Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta)

Base 100k-200k + bonus

Occasional Travel

No relocation assistance

Main Roles and Responsibilities

•Marketing, communications and events

•Manage and evolve brand positioning and messaging for the company and its core offerings

•Continue to develop the voice of the Company brand, owning the creation and evolution of brand strategies, guidance and assets (e.g. brand and naming architectures, identity assets, guidelines)

•Improve our storytelling ability by bringing our brand and values to life in new and unexpected ways. Establish market leadership position for our brand and thought leadership assets

•Generate tactics to better connect our brand with clients. Manage the creative services team to develop world-class brand engagement using videos, presentations, and other mediums

•Work with regional marketing teams, providing brand guidance and assuring brand integrity and consistency globally

•Executing Demand Generation programs that drive pipeline development

Planning and Budgeting

•Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/event mission, goals and financial objectives

•Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications/event program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance

•Recommend short- and long-term organization goals and objectives to the HOM


•Maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality personnel

•Recruit, train, appraise, supervise, support, develop, promote and guide qualified personnel

•Design, support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the Organization


Knowledge and Experience


•10 or more years prior brand marketing, marketing communications, and/or advertising experience. Demonstrated success in launching/repositioning firms in their respective markets with a focus on B2B preferably in the Technology/Telecommunications industries  (if only small companies, not a ft)


•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising and or public relations preferred


•Experience developing brand strategies and messaging as well as having taken a firm through a repositioning effort resulting in a broader awareness of a company’s leadership capabilities


•Experience in building a brand and or repositioning a company around a broader set of offers


•Fully conversant in digital marketing efforts including web, social media, SEO/SEM and influencing online communities. Experience in running advertising and social media campaigns


•Demand Gen across the full customer lifecycle including events/tradeshows


•Managed his/her business with accountability to top line growth as measured by a quantitative dashboard including metrics such as leads, branding audits, website traffic


•Managing remote teams dispersed around the globe


•Direct experience managing, building, and maintaining global brands


•Ability to collaborate deeply with multiple groups, and to influence projects across organizations


•Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills


All roles require strong verbal and written communications skills, position-appropriate mentoring/leadership abilities, ability to quickly master new systems and/or processes, capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities, and a deep customer service orientation, both internally and externally.
